About the Founder

Kris MILLER, Founder

JD, LL.M., MPA, AIGP, CIPP-G/US/E, SMP

Kris is the founder of 1 Global Data Protection Advisors (1GDPA), a modern consulting practice that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to help companies build and mature their own ethical AI, data protection, and privacy governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs, while still supporting revenue growth and impact.

Kris has over two decades of experience as a trusted advisor to large government enterprises, non-profit companies, and private sector businesses, both in the United States (US) and abroad.

Before founding 1GDPA, Kris was a principal engineer and strategic advisor at the MITRE Corporation. Before that, he practiced corporate law with Day Pitney LLP in New York and Connecticut. He began his professional life as an officer in the US Army where he served with distinction in Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Kris is an AI Governance Professional (AIGP) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) with credentials in US Government, US Private Sector, and European data protection regimes. He is also a Strategic Management Professional (SMP). Kris received his BA from Boston University, JD and MPA from Syracuse University, and LL.M. in European Union law from Universitée Panthéon-Assas, Paris II.
